Santa Claus is coming to town!

This reward is perfect for your little elves during the holiday season! The idea comes from Brettny Mitchell, a para-professional at Horatio Elementary in Horatio Public Schools. A quick Santa visit during lunch was so memorable for the students at Horatio Elementary.

How It Works

Your school can bring Santa and the North Pole to your K-2nd grade students during the holidays, to create some holiday cheer and encourage positive behaviors.

Get creative and bring the experience to life with a Christmas-decorated area, holiday dishes, and maybe even some snow (real snow, fake snow, shaved ice, whatever works for your environment).

A more personable that you can include could be to have students who are to attend the lunch, write a letter to Santa. Santa can greet students by name and even surprise them with knowing some of their wishes.

Some ways students can earn this reward:

  • The House with the most points gets lunch with Santa
  • Students can cash in their points for a lunch with Santa
  • Students with the most points that week can opt-in to lunch with Santa
  • Let the LiveSchool randomizer pick students at your next school assembly. Talk about fun!
