So that’s who the VIP table is for!

Have you ever had dinner reservations at a fancy restaurant and as you’re being seated you walk by a table that is surrounded by a velvet rope?

When I see that I think to myself… “that has to be reserved for the President, the Governor, or Taylor Swift”, I just know it.

I don’t know about you, but I’d like to get that table someday. That would feel pretty awesome.

Well, this reward is all about making our kids feel like they scored reservations at that table.

Imagine your school café has a roped-off section that is complete with table cloth and fine dining silverware that is reserved for your students who go above and beyond your school-wide expectations. Not only do your kids get the fine dining experience, but you also get the added benefit of the reward being visible to all their peers.

How It Works

Rope off one table that isn’t in a high-traffic area. Your setup is key here.

The rope doesn’t need to be fancy, but it needs to appear fancy. Your silverware doesn’t need to be expensive, it just needs to look expensive.

Go the extra mile and use placards to identify who your special guests are and exactly where they will be sitting. You could even get in on the fun and dress up in your finest evening attire to serve food that is already plated.

Is that my Principal or the Maitre D’?

For best results make this a bi-weekly or monthly award so you can preserve the mystique of your VIP seating, I mean Taylor Swift isn’t at your favorite restaurant every night, is she?

Bon Appétit.
